Bill Haxton

Bill Haxton's writings include poetry, prose, and ad copy.  No form of the written word escapes his creative attention.

Concert hosts Anne and Bill landed in Three Rivers a decade ago after a ten-year sailing odyssey in the Pacific.  When they acquired their property in Three Rivers they had no idea that it would emerge as the home of one the town’s premier fall cultural events, the Concert on the Grass.

Bill began writing poetry in 1975 as part of a graduate seminar with Carolyn Forche and has been doing it ever since. Over the years, he has had numerous poems published, as well as magazine articles, 500 episodes of
the public radio program This Day in America, and "The Report to the United States Congress"on the condition of education in the Republic of the Marshal Islands, which he considers to be one of his best works.
